When school starts in September, it is also the time when mothers of children with asthma have the biggest headache. They are afraid that their children will have asthma because they are not careful at school. We have summarized the considerations for the management of daily life of children with asthma to help mothers manage their children with asthma. 1. Control dust mites. ”Mites are the culprit of asthma attacks in some children. It is better to wrap the mattress, pillows or wash the pillowcase weekly with an impermeable bedspread; use 55℃ water to wash the bedding weekly; avoid sleeping or lying flat on the furniture packed with fiber textile; remove the carpet in the room; use less than 50% humidity in the room; use chemicals (insecticide) to kill mites or change the mite antigens in the room. 2.Remove animal allergens. Because the dander, urine and saliva produced by rodents and birds can cause allergic reactions. Avoid staying around woods and parks for a long time. 3.Avoid foods that cause asthma. When your child has an asthma attack, you should avoid fishy foods and other hairy items, and focus on a light diet, and then make dietary supplements during the remission period according to the child’s physical condition, and usually try to avoid cold drinks. The mother of the affected child should advise her child what forbidden foods to pay attention to when eating at school. 4, control air pollution. Such as tobacco, aerosol, play organic compounds (polish, paint, etc.), instruct the child to try not to poplar, willow, pine, cypress, acacia, birch and other trees with a lot of pollen, do not stop in public places for a long time. 5. Avoid taking drugs that aggravate asthma. Such as aspirin, ibuprofen, etc. Tell the life teacher about your child having asthma to avoid screening on the choice of medication when your child has an accident at school. 6.Strengthen physical exercise. Because some children’s symptoms worsen after exercise, parents do not have confidence in their children’s participation in sports. Therefore, parents are prone to dispel ideological concerns and assist their children in choosing appropriate sports and gradually increase the amount of exercise to enhance physical fitness and reduce respiratory tract infections. However, exercise should not be strenuous to avoid triggering asthma attacks.
