In daily life, there is often a clicking sound when moving the ankle. When this sound occurs, it is mostly due to friction between the bone and ligament. If the rattling sound is not accompanied by pain and the patient has no self-perception, and the activity function of the ankle joint is normal, no special treatment can be taken and can be observed regularly. However, if the rattling is accompanied by pain when moving the ankle, there is a disease and treatment needs to be taken. First, an x-ray of the ankle joint should be taken to clarify whether traumatic arthritis or osteoarthritis has occurred. If there is traumatic arthritis, the patient should be instructed to brake the ankle and avoid local cold and strain. If there is osteoarthritis, the patient should take oral anti-osteophytic drugs or take foot baths for at least 20 minutes each time, three times a day. The patient should also be instructed to avoid walking with weight and reduce the amount of activity.
