Every year, I see thousands of children with Tourette’s Syndrome in my clinic, and hundreds of new patients. Most of the patients are satisfied with the results, not because of the magic of the “medicine”, but because most of the parents are able to relax with me. The child has a high degree of trust in me, and the medicine works. The following is an introduction to this disease: The typical condition of Tourette’s syndrome is also called Tourette’s syndrome. Tourette’s disease, or Tourette’s disease for short. It is an inherited neuropsychiatric disorder. It has a childhood onset (1-10 years old, mostly 5-7 years old) and is characterized by a combination of limb motor nerve twitches with at least one vocalization. (Verbal) tics. These twitches are either stronger or weaker. Tourette’s disease is defined as one of a series of twitch disorders that include both transient and prolonged twitches. (Some cases may be seen clinically as intermittent and varied) Tourette’s was once seen as an unusual syndrome. It was often associated with derogatory comments such as shouting, obscenities, social inappropriateness, and obscenity. In fact, only a minority of Tourette’s patients have these symptoms. More common symptoms are blinking, coughing, throat clearing, nose twitching, and facial twitching. (This is also accompanied by various body movements such as hand flaps, foot stomping, shoulder movements, etc.) Most children with Tourette’s have normal intelligence. The majority of children with Tourette’s syndrome have normal intelligence or are early learners. Even in children with severe symptoms, most of the symptoms will disappear for the first time, or the twitching will be greatly reduced, as long as they are fully relaxed, strong, and control the frequency of using electronic devices such as computers, through adolescence. Of course, those with a clear family history may have some symptoms, but they are far less severe than in childhood. If you are able to do so, you may be able to take some herbal remedies at the right time. However, do not believe in “famous doctors and secret remedies”, and do not need surgery.
