The varicella vaccine is given only once to healthy children over the age of 1 year and to those who are susceptible to varicella. The varicella vaccine generally produces lifelong antibodies after vaccination, and if the baby has already suffered from varicella disease before receiving the varicella vaccine, he or she will naturally produce varicella antibodies and does not need to receive the varicella vaccine again. Fever and localized redness at the vaccination site may occur in some babies after vaccination, which usually subsides on its own within 2-3 days without special treatment. A very small number of babies may develop mild varicella manifestations such as a small number of macules and herpes within 1 month after vaccination, but the symptoms are mild and do not require special intervention.
