When to get the chickenpox vaccine

Chickenpox vaccine consists of two injections, the first one is recommended to be given at the age of 12 months to 18 months, and the second one is given at the age of 4 years to 6 years.
Varicella vaccine is prepared by varicella-zoster virus transmission strain, including live attenuated varicella vaccine, freeze-dried live varicella vaccine, etc. It can prevent chickenpox and reduce the complications of chickenpox infection.
Currently, varicella vaccine belongs to the second class of vaccines prescribed by the state, and it is recommended that adults, children, and adolescents without a history of varicella be vaccinated. The susceptible group of chickenpox virus is mainly children aged 12 months to 12 years old, so the first shot is recommended to be vaccinated at the age of 12 months to 18 months. The second dose is a booster shot, which increases the effectiveness of the vaccine, and is recommended to be given at the age of 4~6 years.
If chickenpox occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and standardize the treatment under the guidance of professional doctors.
