What is the difference between stage 1A and stage 1B cancer?

The difference between stage IA and stage IB cancers is the extent of primary tumor invasion or the degree of lymph node metastasis, with the latter being relatively severe. Cancer is a malignant disease caused by many factors, such as heredity and environment. According to the specific invasion of primary tumor, the degree of lymph node metastasis and whether distant metastasis occurs, it can be divided into four stages, of which stage I represents the early stage of the disease, and some cancers can be subdivided into subtypes. For example, stage ⅠA of lung cancer represents that the primary tumor has a maximum diameter of ≤1cm, but is confined to the lungs and visceral pleura; there is no lymph node metastasis; and there is no distant metastasis. Stage ⅠB represents that the maximum diameter of primary tumor is 3~4cm, or involves the dirty pleura, etc.; no lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis. That is to say, stage ⅠB is more complicated and serious than stage ⅠA. It is suggested that cancer patients should consult the doctor in time, and under the doctor’s guidance, carry out standardized and individualized treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
