What to do if your vulva breaks down

Vulvar ulceration should be treated differently according to different etiologies: 1. If there are canker sores or vulvar inflammation, and the vulvar ulceration is caused by the presence of canker sores, the vulva can be cleaned with gynecologic cleansing first, then disinfected with iodophor in the area of the ulceration, and erythromycin ointment can be applied locally, which can play an anti-inflammatory and anti-infective role; 2. If it is not relieved after symptomatic treatment, a culture of the secretion is needed. If there is syphilis and other infections, high dose penicillin needs to be given for treatment. If a malignant lesion of the vulva occurs, it is necessary to give timely surgery for excision, which is supplemented by radiotherapy after surgery, in order to facilitate the remission of the disease; 3. If the vulvar vesicles break down, antiviral treatment should be given, including local application of interferon treatment or additional oral treatment. At the same time, infrared physical therapy should be given to the area of vulvar rupture to help dry the area and reduce the occurrence of bacterial infection.
