What to do when a wart comes back

A wart is generally referred to as a verruca, and can usually be treated with physical therapy, or medication for those who cannot tolerate physical therapy. Cryotherapy is a commonly used physical therapy that usually employs liquid nitrogen to cause necrosis of the wart and subsequent shedding of the wart, which may need to be repeated to achieve results. Other treatments include electrocautery, laser, and photodynamic therapy. If physical therapy is not tolerated, medication can be administered, which may include topical applications such as salicylic acid, retinoic acid, imiquimod, and injections of warts such as bleomycin. It can also be treated with immunomodulators such as interferon and levamisole. If the phenomenon of wart recurrence, you should go to the hospital in a timely manner, the use of the above drugs should follow the doctor’s instructions.
