Acupuncture and moxibustion can be used to treat headaches at Fengchi, Baihui, Tianzhu and other points. There is no such thing as the “best” acupuncture point. 1. Baihui is an acupoint of the Directing Vessel, located at the top of the head, 5 inches straight up from the center of the forehead hairline, with the effect of opening the orifices and waking up the brain, benefiting qi and raising yang (tonifying qi so that yang can be raised and developed), and calming the mind and tranquilizing the spirit, treating headache, dizziness, tinnitus, insomnia, forgetfulness and other symptoms. 3. Tianzhu is an acupuncture point of the bladder meridian, located at the back of the neck, transverse flat 2nd cervical vertebrae spinous processes, the outer edge of the trapezius muscle in the depression, has the effect of calming the mind (using the nature of the drug to stabilize the mind), through the pain (dredge the meridians to relieve pain), treatment of headache, nasal congestion and other evidence.
