If there is no itching, no odor and no pain in the vulva or vagina, this is a normal physiological vaginal discharge and does not require special treatment. If white fluid, odor, pain in the vulva and vagina and itching are present, the vaginal discharge should be examined to determine which type of vaginitis is present and medication should be selected for this condition. For bacterial vaginitis, topical metronidazole suppositories are used, and for mycotic vaginitis, topical nifurtimox vaginal soft capsules are used.
