Matters needing attention in diet after dialysis for renal failure mainly include: controlling water intake, moderate high protein, fresh fruits and vegetables diet, limiting sodium, potassium, phosphorus food intake and so on.
1. Control the amount of water intake: most of the patients with renal failure may reduce the amount of urine after entering dialysis, so the intake of water should be controlled to avoid overloading of water, edema, heart failure and other complications.
2. Moderate high protein, fresh fruits and vegetables diet: the process of dialysis will make the body protein loss, so after dialysis can moderately increase the protein intake, it is recommended that every kilogram of body weight 1.0 ~ 1.2g / d; dialysis patients may occur in a variety of vitamin deficiencies, can be appropriate to supplement fresh fruits and vegetables.
3. Limit sodium, potassium, phosphorus food: eating too much high sodium food may increase the burden on patients’ kidneys, aggravate edema, cause high blood pressure, and in serious cases, may even lead to acute left heart failure, etc.; avoid the intake of potassium and phosphorus-containing food, such as bananas, oranges, nuts, animal offal, etc., as excessive intake will cause hyperkalemia, hyperphosphatemia and lead to increased risk of death.
If kidney failure patients have discomfort after dialysis, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals in time and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors.
