Androgen-induced hair loss is classified as androgenetic alopecia, which generally cannot be cured, but can be treated to control the condition and improve the symptoms of hair loss. Androgenetic alopecia, also known as seborrheic alopecia, is mainly related to genetic factors (increased sensitivity of hair follicles to androgens), androgens and other factors, and is mainly manifested by symptoms such as miniaturization of hair follicles and progressive hair loss. For treatment, male patients can be treated with small doses of oral finasteride; female patients can be treated with oral ethinyl estradiol cyproterone; topical minoxidil can also be used to promote hair growth; and hair transplantation can be done if necessary. Generally after early and reasonable treatment, most of the patients’ hair loss symptoms can be effectively improved, hair transplantation can improve the appearance of hair loss, but usually can not be completely cured. Hair transplantation can improve the appearance of hair loss, but it is usually not a complete cure. It is recommended that patients diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia should go to a regular hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for reasonable treatment. When using medication, strictly follow the doctor’s instructions to use medication, not blindly self-medication.
