Multiple lacunar cerebral infarcts are ischemic microinfarcts or soft foci that result from occlusion of penetrating arteries in the deep medulla of the brain. The lesion can be left with an irregular lacunar space after re-healing. 1. Cavernous cerebral infarction is a common type of clinical cerebral infarction, with the onset of the disease mainly in the basal ganglia region, followed by the centrocentral region of the semiovals. There are abundant penetrating arteries in the deep part of the brain, which are located in the terminal branches of the cerebral arteries, therefore, the scope of involvement after infarction is relatively small and the lesions are more limited. 2. Patients with lacunar cerebral infarction have smaller foci and generally milder symptoms. Clinical symptoms are mainly characterized by headache, dizziness and numbness of limbs; if the infarction occurs in the non-functional area, it may not show any clinical symptoms.
