There is a way to stay away from cancer!

This year, April 15-21 is the 23rd National Cancer Awareness Week. The theme of this week is “Science Against Cancer, Care for Life”, and the subtopic is “Strengthen Health Education, Stay Away from Bad Habits”. Who are the people who are most attracted to cancer? How to minimize the risk of cancer? The World Health Organization (WHO) has proposed 9 new recommendations for Chinese residents to prevent cancer, which seem to be very simple but have rich connotations. 1. Strict weight control According to the survey data of WHO, compared with 20 years ago, the average weight of Chinese people has increased by 40%, while the incidence of cancer in China has increased by 9 times. Experts believe that these two sets of data fully prove that obesity is the main reason for the increase of cancer incidence in China. 2.Do not eat moldy food The World Health Organization survey found that most Chinese people have the habit of frugality. They often do not bother to throw away the food that has become moldy, but heat them up and eat them. In fact, moldy food contains a large amount of aflatoxin, and even heating these foods cannot remove the aflatoxin in them. People often eat such food, very vulnerable to liver cancer and other cancers. Experts from the World Health Organization believe that Chinese people love to eat smoked, pickled, baked, fried and overheated foods, which is the main reason why the incidence of stomach and esophageal cancer in China is the highest in the world. Such foods mainly include smoked fish, roasted meat, bacon, salted vegetables and hot pot. 4.Eat fresh fruits and vegetables before they are cleaned Survey found that China is the world’s largest country in terms of pesticide use. This can easily lead to pesticides on fruits and vegetables entering their bodies, thus inducing cancers such as intestinal cancer, liver cancer and brain tumors. 5.No alcohol and no smoking The survey found that the consumption of alcohol and tobacco in China is the first in the world. And alcoholism and smoking are the main causes of stomach cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, intestinal cancer, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and many other cancers. According to statistics, more than 35% of the cancer patients in China are caused by alcoholism and smoking. 6.Don’t take drugs that may cause cancer for a long time Under the influence of certain concepts, many Chinese people have the habit of using drugs on their own without medical advice, which greatly reduces the safety of their medication and even causes cancer due to improper medication. According to survey data, at least 200,000 people in China suffer from cancer due to improper use of drugs every year. Drugs that can cause cancer mainly include aspirin, aminopyrine, chloramphenicol, oxytetracycline, reserpine, azathioprine, cyclophosphamide, vinblastine, phenobarbital, isoniazid and other western drugs, as well as pepper, patchouli, dong Hua, calamus, arsenic; andrographis and other traditional Chinese medicines. 7, do not use toxic plastic bags According to survey data, China is one of the countries with a high rate of use of toxic plastic bags. People use toxic plastic bags for a long time (especially with toxic plastic bags for food), prone to liver cancer, intestinal cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer and other cancers. Identification of plastic bags with or without toxicity is: the fire will be lit plastic bags, easy to burn for non-toxic plastic bags, not easy to burn for toxic plastic bags. 8, the sun should not exceed 40 minutes a day World Health Organization survey found that many Chinese residents – especially the elderly have the habit of prolonged sunbathing. And the vast majority of them are not wearing sunscreen. This is the main reason for the high incidence of skin cancer in China. For this reason, experts from the World Health Organization reminded Chinese residents that they should not spend more than 40 minutes in the sun each day, and they should develop the habit of applying sunscreen. 9.Don’t stay up late The World Health Organization survey found that with the popularity of television, computers and entertainment venues and the increase in work pressure, more and more Chinese people are staying up late (i.e. going to bed after 1:00 a.m.) every day. And as early as 2007, the World Health Organization listed staying up late as one of the factors that tend to induce cancer. This is because staying up late can lead to a decrease in the amount of melatonin (a hormone that can inhibit tumor growth) in the body, and can lower the body’s immunity, thus making people vulnerable to cancer.
