Stomach bleeding won’t stop, how to treat it

Gastric bleeding can be caused by peptic ulcer, esophagogastric varices, gastric cancer and other bleeding diseases, which can be treated with medication such as octreotide, aluminum thiogluconate, endoscopic or surgical hemostatic treatment and so on.
1. Peptic ulcer: some patients with peptic ulcer have bleeding, perforation and other complications as the first manifestation, and the first choice is gastroscopic hemostasis treatment, and if there is no effect, surgical hemostasis treatment is needed.
2. Esophagogastric fundal varices: patients with acute bleeding of esophagogastric fundal varices need to replenish blood volume, give growth inhibitors, vasopressin and other drugs to reduce portal pressure, such as octreotide acetate, terlipressin and so on. They can also be given three-lumen two-bladder tube to stop bleeding by compression, and if necessary, they can be given surgical shunt operation or flow-control operation to stop bleeding.
3. Gastric cancer: gastric bleeding in gastric cancer is usually in late stage, and palliative surgery should be taken to stop bleeding. At the same time, gastric mucous membrane protecting agents, such as misoprostol and aluminum thioglycollate, etc., can effectively relieve the symptoms.
If gastric bleeding cannot be stopped, one should consult doctor immediately and cooperate with doctor to take gastroscopy to stop bleeding or surgery to stop bleeding.
