Symptoms of dry nose bleeding and nasopharyngeal cancer are mainly different in terms of bleeding amount, difficulty in stopping bleeding, and accompanying symptoms, etc. Dry nose bleeding is mainly caused by dry rhinitis.
Dry nose bleeding is mainly caused by dry rhinitis, often with intermittent blood in snot. Nasopharyngeal cancer is similar to its symptoms in early stage, which is easy to be misdiagnosed.
1. Bleeding volume: dry nose bleeding is simple nasal mucous membrane bleeding with small volume; while nasopharyngeal carcinoma bleeds relatively larger volume.
2. Difficulty in stopping bleeding: dry nose bleeding is easy to control, while nasopharyngeal cancer patients’ bleeding is not easy to stop and recurrent bleeding is easy to occur.
3. Accompanying symptoms: Nasopharyngeal cancer patients often suffer from headache, tinnitus, nasal congestion, hearing loss, diplopia, enlarged cervical lymph nodes and so on, in addition to symptoms of nosebleed. And dry nose bleeding basically has no such symptoms.
When patients have symptoms of nosebleed, after excluding physiological reasons, they should go to the hospital in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and take active treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
