Eat Poria every day for 10 years

Long-term consumption of Poria is not recommended to avoid discomfort. It is necessary to follow the doctor’s prescription for medication. Poria has the effects of promoting water retention and eliminating edema (facilitating urination and eliminating water retention), seeping dampness, strengthening the spleen and tranquilizing the heart. It is used for treating dysuria, edema, phlegm (a pathological product of impaired water metabolism), cough, diarrhea, dizziness, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia, leucorrhea (cloudy urine like white slurry), urinary residual leakage (dripping after urination), etc. Poria is also used for treating deficiency of yin without dampness-heat and deficiency of urine. Poria should be taken with caution if there is deficiency of yin without dampness-heat, deficiency of cold and slippery essence, or deficiency of qi and subsidence. If there is a need to use Poria, it should be applied after identification by a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be taken on its own.
