Premature rupture of membranes can be caused by reproductive tract infection, excessive pressure in the amniotic cavity, malposition of the fetus and lack of micronutrients. 1. Reproductive tract infection: if a woman has sex during pregnancy, pathogenic bacteria may enter the uterus, causing infection of the membranes and rupture of the membranes. 2. Excessive pressure in the amniotic cavity: If there are twin or multiple pregnancies or if the pregnant woman’s abdomen is subjected to a strong impact, the pressure in the amniotic cavity in the uterus will be too great, causing premature rupture of the fetal membranes. 3. Fetal malposition: If the position of the fetus is obviously abnormal, the pressure in the amniotic cavity is not evenly distributed, which will also cause premature rupture of fetal membranes. 4. Lack of micronutrients: If the pregnant woman lacks micronutrients and has insufficient nutritional intake, it may cause insufficient tension of the fetal membranes, which will automatically rupture when the fetus grows. If a pregnant woman has premature rupture of membranes, she should seek medical treatment immediately and adopt a lying position to prevent the fetus from having accidents.
