Urethral strictures may be dilated once every 2 to 3 days, once a week or at longer intervals between cycles, depending on the degree of their stricture and the patient’s specific condition. The frequency of dilatation for urethral stricture is not fixed. If the patient is in relatively good health, the dilatation is maintained for a long period of time, and the urethra is mildly narrowed, then dilatation may be required only half a month or once a month. If the patient’s health condition is average and the urethral stricture is also more serious, it may need to be dilated once a week or two to three days, and then change to dilate once every half a month, and finally maintain the dilation once a month, and insist on it for about half a year until it is stabilized. In some cases of severe urethral stricture, two to three days after dilatation, stricture and difficulty in urination will occur again, which will require repeated dilatation. If urethral stenosis occurs, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, the doctor to formulate individualized scientific treatment plan, so as not to delay the condition.
