O-shaped legs cannot be broken straight and need to be treated in a hospital. The treatment of O-shaped legs is divided into the treatment of O-shaped legs in infants and children and the treatment of O-shaped legs in adults. O-legs in infants and children are usually physiologic and do not require special treatment, but if they do not improve after the age of 6, they will require treatment. In adults, O-shaped legs require surgery. During the surgery, the deformed lower limb is osteotomized and fixed with a steel plate and screws. The O-leg deformity is usually corrected after one and a half years when the screws are removed. For patients with O-shaped leg, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, complete the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
