The whole procedure of heel fracture surgery

Heel fracture surgery is divided into closed internal fixation surgery and incision internal fixation surgery. 1. Closed internal fixation surgery: mainly adopts longitudinal traction, abduction and internal rotation of the heel to carry out gentle repositioning. Under the guidance of X-ray fluoroscopy, the correct position of the needle in the posterior and lateral cortex of the heel bone is determined, and suitable hollow compression screws are screwed in percutaneously, and fluoroscopy confirms that the fracture is satisfactorily repositioned and immobilized. 2. Surgery for incision and internal fixation: firstly, the affected side is sterilized with iodine, and the fracture site is generally located through X-ray film and physical examination. At the fracture site of the heel bone, which is generally eight to ten centimeters, the subcutaneous tissues and fascia are cut to reveal the fracture site, and then manipulation is performed to make the cartilage surface flat and restore the normal anatomical structure of the heel bone, and then the appropriate built-in plate is selected according to the degree of fracture comminution. After placing the plate, the area is rinsed with saline and sutured layer by layer, and the operation is finished. The operation of heel bone fracture is based on the doctor’s diagnosis of the fracture and the operation accordingly.
