Joint pain caused by gout can be categorized into acute and chronic phases. Generally the pain in the acute phase can be relieved within two weeks, while the pain in the chronic phase has no definite time for relief.
Gout can be divided into acute attack and chronic phase. During the acute attack, the redness, swelling, heat and pain of gouty arthritis are obvious and last from 2 to 5 days, usually most of them are relieved within two weeks.
However, if the patient does not take medication regularly as prescribed by the doctor, it enters the chronic phase, during which the gout can recur, and the inter-episode period is shortened, the duration of the attack is prolonged, and even gout stones and joint damage occur. In the chronic phase, there is no clear time for the relief of joint pain.
It is recommended that gout patients should go to regular hospitals in time, standardize the diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of doctors, and undergo regular review.
