Can you be allergic to milk?

Drinking milk may produce allergies for some people.
Proteins in milk can act as allergens, and 30 different proteins have been found in milk, categorized into two groups: casein or whey proteins. Proteins belonging to the casein group are heat stable and cannot be broken down and utilized by heat. Proteins belonging to the whey protein group, on the other hand, can be thermally broken down.
When the body reacts with immunoglobulin E antibodies to proteins in milk (either casein or whey), an allergic reaction results. The body’s immune system assumes that casein and whey proteins are body invaders and thus produces antibodies to defend against it.
If there is any allergy to drinking milk, please go to the hospital promptly, regulate the treatment under the guidance of the doctor, and avoid consuming milk in normal times.
