Can Jiuwei Qiangwu Pill and Yupingfeng Granules be taken together?

Jiuwei Qiangwu Pill is composed of Qiangwu, Xinxin, Fangfeng, Cangzhu, Chuanxiong, Licorice, Angelica dahurica, Scutellaria baicalensis, and Di Huang. It is effective in dispersing cold, relieving exterior symptoms and removing dampness. It is used for symptoms such as fever, headache, cold (fear of cold), no sweating, limb pain caused by external wind-cold and dampness. The adverse reactions and contraindications of Jiuwei Qianghuo Pill are not clear.
Yupingfeng Granules is composed of Fangfeng, Astragalus, Atractylodes Macrocephala. It has the efficacy of fixing the surface, benefiting qi and stopping sweating. It is used for those who have deficiency of the surface (the weakness of the muscle surface leads to abnormal sweating out), pale face (white and without luster), bad wind, spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with a little movement), or those who are weak and easily susceptible to wind evils. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to the product, and the adverse drug reactions are not clear.
The instruction of Yupingfeng Granules states that this product should not be used for people with cold and fever. Jiuwei Qianghong Pill is used for treating people with external fever, so the two medicines cannot be taken together. They should be used reasonably under the guidance of doctor’s diagnosis.
