How many years does an all-ceramic femoral head replacement last?

The theoretical service life of the replaced artificial all-ceramic femoral head is 10 to 15 years (most can last 15 to 20 years or more).
Artificial hip replacement is mainly applied to cases such as femoral neck fracture and ischemic necrosis of the femoral head. The different materials used for the femoral head increase the wear resistance of the artificial joint surface and the mobility of the contact surface. Ceramic is currently considered one of the most wear-resistant materials and generally has a longer service life.
Theoretically, the service life of an artificial femoral head is about 10 to 15 years, but most patients with ceramic joints will have a much higher service life of 15 to 20 years (or even more than 20 years), if there are no special circumstances.
After artificial hip replacement, avoid excessive internal retraction, internal rotation, deep squatting and other movements of the affected limb, which may lead to dislocation of the femoral head. Timely review should be conducted.
