Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is one of the malignant tumors of the hematologic system and belongs to the non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma species, which are aggressive lymphomas. Relatively speaking, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is a lymphoma of intermediate malignancy, but the disease is heterogeneous and the clinical prognosis of patients varies widely. Most patients may be able to achieve long-term survival with aggressive treatment, such as combination chemotherapy plus or autologous stem cell transplantation, but some comprehensive evaluation is necessary before a patient can be given an answer. The comprehensive evaluation includes the patient’s age, clinical staging, physical status, and sensitivity to chemotherapy, etc. A definitive answer can be given from a large sample of data after a detailed evaluation. Although diffuse Big B is a malignant disease, it is not completely incurable due to current therapeutic developments and the advent of targeted therapeutic agents.
