Xiangsha Nourishing Stomach Pill is used for stomach pain and plumpness (stomach distension and discomfort) caused by stomach yang deficiency and dampness-yin-qi stagnation; Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan is used for yin deficiency and fire (deficiency of yin essence in the body, which results in hyperactivity of deficiency fire). It is not recommended to take Xiangsha Nourishing Stomach Pill and Zhibai Di Huang Wan together.
Xiangsha Nourishing Stomach Pill has the effect of warming the middle and harmonizing the stomach (warming the spleen and stomach, harmonizing the stomach and internal organs). It is used for stomach pain and plumpness caused by deficiency of stomach yang and stagnation of dampness and yin qi, which is characterized by vague stomach pain, stuffiness in the epigastric region, vomiting of acid, noisy discomfort (stomach feeling similar to hunger, emptiness with burning), insatiable appetite, and tiredness of the limbs.
Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan (知柏地黄丸) has the effect of nourishing yin and lowering fire (nourishing yin essence and lowering fire). It is used for hot flashes (a burst of heat), night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up), dry mouth and sore throat, tinnitus, spermatorrhea, and short and reddish urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow in color) caused by yin deficiency and fire exuberance.
