Tobramycin, or tobramycin eye drops, belongs to the antibiotic class of eye drops and is not recommended for long-term use. Tobramycin belongs to the aminoglycoside class of antibiotics and, like other antibiotics, long-term use may lead to overgrowth of non-susceptible strains and may even cause fungal infections, and appropriate treatment should be given promptly in the event of a secondary infection. Tobramycin eye drops are mainly indicated for topical anti-infective treatment of infections of the external eye, and sensitive strains of the appendages, and the control of bacterial infections needs to be observed when applied.
