The redness and pain in the inner eyelid may be related to inflammation of the lid gland caused by bacterial infection, possibly caused by Staphylococcus aureus, which is commonly referred to as a needle’s eye. It is usually treated topically with anti-inflammatory drops, usually levofloxacin for adults and topaz for children, several times a day, usually at least 4 times, preferably 6-8 times. You can also use Topaz eye ointment once for local application as well as for the whites of the eyes before naps and late nights to get better relief. If the pain is more pronounced and the redness is more pronounced, consider taking oral antibiotics, such as cephalosporin or amoxicillin, which will also heal more quickly.
