Herbs to tonify kidney qi and clear stomach fire

Basically, there is no single herb that can nourish kidney qi and clear stomach fire. To achieve the purpose of nourishing kidney qi and clearing stomach fire with herbs, it is necessary to use a combination of herbs, and the most commonly used in clinical practice is Jade Maiden Decoction.
Jade Lady Decoction is from Jingyue Quanshu, which has the effect of clearing stomach heat and nourishing kidney yin. The main treatment for stomach heat and yin deficiency. Headache, toothache, loose teeth, epistaxis, vexation heat (irritability and sultriness), dry thirst, red tongue with yellow and dry fur. It also treats thirst, elimination of grain and hunger (eating too much and still easily hungry).
This formula is composed of Gypsum, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Rhizoma Zhi Mu, Radix Ophiopogonis Macrocephala and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae. Gypsum is pungent, sweet and cold, clearing stomach fire. Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata is sweet and slightly warm to nourish the deficiency of kidney water. Zhi Mu is bitter and cold, moist, nourishing and clearing at the same time, which helps Gypsum to clear stomach heat and stop thirst, and helps Radix Rehmanniae to nourish kidney yin;
Mai Men Dong is slightly bitter, sweet and cold, helping to nourish the kidneys and moistening the dryness of the stomach, and can clear the heart to remove vexation. Cow’s Knee induces heat to draw blood downward (promoting downward movement of blood) and tonifies the Liver and Kidney to lower the fire of inflammation.
It is not suitable for people with loose stools and yang deficiency in the spleen and stomach. The contraindications and adverse effects of Jade Lady Decoction are not yet clear.
