Adenomyosis is a common disease in women of childbearing age. It is a disease caused by endometriosis growing in the myometrium and belongs to a kind of endometriosis, which often manifests clinically as dysmenorrhea and heavy menstrual flow. Traditional treatment includes: medication and surgery. Medication can temporarily relieve the symptoms but cannot treat the lesion itself, it is symptomatic treatment, and surgery is very traumatic, some need to remove the uterus, many patients do not want to accept it. Uterine artery embolization is an emerging method for treating adenomyosis, which is a minimally invasive way to treat the disease at its root by embolizing the uterine artery to cause ischemic necrosis of the ectopic lining, and is one of the preferred treatment methods for those who do not want to undergo surgery.
