Is it hard to remove a kidney stone with a flexible scope?

Softscope removal of kidney stones does not cause excessive discomfort and usually results in mild pain after the procedure. Flexible lithotripsy involves the placement of a flexible scope and endoscope in the ureteral area to directly remove kidney stones. General anesthesia is administered to the patient prior to the procedure to reduce the perception of pain. There is no severe pain or discomfort throughout the procedure. Some patients may experience mild pain after the operation, which is a common injury caused by the ureteral tube rubbing by the flexible scope, and will usually recover on its own after the operation. The need for pain medication after the procedure is usually based on the patient’s presenting symptoms, but usually the pain is of low intensity and is within the range of what the body can tolerate. Prior to the operation of renal stone extraction by flexible lens, allergy test of anesthesia drugs is required to help select the appropriate anesthesia drugs for intraoperative use.
