Massage, usually referred to as tui na, is a common treatment method in Chinese medicine that focuses on treating illnesses through manipulation. The term massage is less commonly used in medicine and is generally described as tuina. Tui Na techniques are mainly divided into 13 categories, including pushing, holding, pressing, moistening, kneading, twisting, rolling, rubbing, pinching, wrestling, pointing, percussing and vibrating, which can be evolved into more than one hundred specific techniques, which can be used in the treatment of neck, shoulder, lumbar, and leg pains, internal medicine diseases, and pediatric diseases, among others.
