What’s wrong with your mouth?



Fire is known as heat in traditional Chinese medicine. Heat in the mouth may be caused by the patient’s love of spicy and stimulating food, which leads to exuberant stomach fire (exuberant fire and heat in the stomach), or by the patient’s love of anger, which leads to inflammation of the liver.

1. Excessive fire in the stomach: The patient’s love of spicy and greasy food damages the spleen and stomach, causing heat in the spleen and stomach, resulting in heat evidence in the mouth, i.e., manifesting as sores on the mouth and tongue, dry mouth and halitosis, dry stools, and burning heat in the stomach.

2. Liver fire inflammation: the patient is usually angry, emotional upset, resulting in liver qi stagnation (liver qi is not smooth), over time, heat, liver fire inflammation leading to mouth heat evidence, that is, manifested as sores on the mouth and tongue, chest and ribs (chest and ribs area of the general term) fullness, bitter mouth and dry throat and other symptoms.

In addition to the factors of exuberant stomach fire and inflammation of liver fire, there are many other causes of fever in the mouth. It is recommended to consult a doctor in a regular hospital for standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor’s diagnosis, and do not take medication without authorization, so as not to cause any adverse reactions.
