Interleukin-2

Indications】 Interleukin-2 is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 14500, which stimulates the proliferation of T cells that have been initiated by specific antigens or mitogenic factors. Recombinant interleukin-2 can be used in clinical studies. It is mainly effective in kidney cancer, melanoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (Rossenberg).LAK cells represent 1 cell body with allogens characteristic of monocytes, B and T lymphocytes. These LAK cells seem to have specific effects on cancer cells. In addition, LAK cells (unlike T cells) mediate killing independent of the MHC. 【Function】Human interleukin 2 enhances the body’s immune response to viral, bacterial, fungal, and protozoal infections by proliferating cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL), natural killer cells (NK), lymphokine-activated killer cells (LAK), and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) and increasing their killing activity, which in turn clears tumor cells and virally infected cells in the body, among others. It can also increase the secretion of cytokines such as antibodies and interferon (IFN), which has a very important role in the body’s immune response, and is an immune enhancer, with anti-viral, anti-tumor and improve the body’s immune function. Applications 【Pharmacological effects】 It can promote the proliferation and differentiation of T lymphocytes, induce cytotoxic-like viability of killer cells, induce and enhance the viability of killer T cells, monocytes and macrophages, etc. Clinical application】 For the treatment of chronic active hepatitis B virus infection, etc.; for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma, melanoma, for the control of cancerous thoracic ascites and other advanced tumors; for the treatment of congenital or acquired immune deficiency, such as AIDS, which can improve the patient’s cellular immune function and anti-infection ability; for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, dry syndrome, etc. It has certain therapeutic effects on certain disease, mycobacterial diseases and intracellular parasitic infections, such as hepatitis B, leprosy, tuberculosis, Candida albicans infection, etc. Dosage】 Intravenous drip: 25,000-50,000 U each time, once a day.
