Inguinal hernias and syringomyelia are common in pediatric surgery, with a prevalence of 3-5%. Inguinal hernias are divided into oblique and straight hernias, and the majority of inguinal hernias in children are oblique, while straight hernias are rare. Hernia is more common in boys than in girls, with a higher incidence on the right side than on the left, and in some children it occurs bilaterally. Syringomyelia is divided into spermatic syringomyelia, testicular syringomyelia and testicular syringomyelia according to the location, and traffic and non-traffic syringomyelia according to whether it is connected to the abdominal cavity.
