Can acupuncture be used to treat prune gas?

Plum nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal allodynia) can be treated with acupuncture.
Commonly used acupuncture prescriptions for plum nucleus qi include Shuigou, Shenmen, Xinyu, and Neiguan points; among them, Shuigou awakens the brain and regulates the mind; Shenmen and Xinyu regulate the heart and spirit; Neiguan broadens the chest and regulates qi, and combines with Taichong to ease the liver and resolve depression; Fenglong, Yinlingquan, Tiantu, and Lianquan move qi to open up the depression, and dissolve phlegm.
Plum nucleus qi belongs to a type of depression evidence in Chinese medicine. Emotional depression, chest tightness, foreign body sensation in the pharynx, and white and greasy moss are the main symptoms. Its etiology is related to emotions, mainly due to liver qi not being relieved, qi depression and phlegm condensation, stagnation in the chest and diaphragm. Mei nuclear qi can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and auricular acupuncture, as well as emotional counseling, and patients are advised to participate in appropriate physical exercise.
