It usually takes about 2 to 3 months to have sex after bladder cancer surgery. Bladder cancer belongs to malignant tumors, and different methods of treatment will be chosen according to the patient’s condition after bladder cancer is detected. Since bladder cancer surgery will cause trauma to the body, and the trauma caused by the surgery will take about 2 to 3 months to recover, it is suggested that the body can only have sexual intercourse after the body recovers for 2 to 3 months after the surgery of bladder cancer. Since sex will cause contraction of prostate gland, urethra and other sex organs, if the body is not completely healed after bladder cancer surgery, the contraction of prostate gland and urethra during sex may reflexively stimulate the bladder, and the stimulation may cause rupture of mucous membrane of bladder and bleeding, and in serious cases, bladder rupture. In order to minimize the occurrence of postoperative bleeding and bladder rupture, it is recommended that patients should have sex 2 to 3 months after bladder cancer surgery, and need to check cystoscopy and abdominal CT regularly in order to observe the recovery of the body.
