How long can you live with thymoma?

How long a thymoma can live is determined by a combination of the lesion of the thymoma itself as well as the stage and staging. If the thymoma is a type A or B thymoma, it tends to be benign in presentation and not very active cytologically, and can theoretically survive for a long time after surgery, with the same life expectancy as a patient without thymoma disease. In case of C thymoma, the cells are more malignant and may have a higher probability of recurrence and metastasis, and life expectancy will be affected. If the relationship between thymoma and surrounding tissues is clear and the envelope is intact, the prognosis is the same as that of normal patients. If the staging is late, the survival time will be shorter as the staging is later. In general, the survival time of thymoma ranges from half a year to a lifetime.
