If the baby tooth has not fallen out and the new tooth has erupted ectopically, we should first take an X-ray to confirm that the baby tooth is the part corresponding to the permanent tooth that has erupted. If the later ectopic permanent teeth still do not return to their normal position, we need to align the teeth through orthodontic treatment, usually this is because the child’s diet is too fine resulting in the roots of the baby teeth not being properly stimulated and normal physiological resorption not occurring.
