Whether or not polypropylene plastic can be harmful depends largely on how it is used. If used normally, it is harmless. On the contrary, in the polypropylene solidification range outside the temperature of use, may cause harm to the human body.
1. Normal use: polypropylene commonly known as PP, the use of very common plastic materials on the market, which itself belongs to a colorless, non-toxic, odorless translucent solid. Containing polypropylene products are recommended for use at -30 ℃ ~ 140 ℃, normal use during this period generally does not cause harm to the human body.
2. Abnormal use: If polypropylene containers are used to hold items at temperatures exceeding 189°C or if open flames are used to burn the polypropylene material, liquefaction will occur due to exceeding the melting point of the polypropylene, and gases will be generated. The gas generated by melting polypropylene has an irritating effect on the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity and the eyes, causing tearing, stinging of the eyes, and irritation of the upper respiratory tract.
If you experience discomfort when using polypropylene plastics, you should seek medical attention.
