How much fluid loss is equivalent to severe dehydration

In severe dehydration, more than 10% of body weight is lost or equivalent to 100-120 m l/kg. In severe dehydration, water loss exceeds 6% of body weight, and in addition to extreme thirst, weakness, low urine and increased urine specific gravity, dry oral mucosa, poor skin elasticity and mental incoherence, mania, hallucinations, delirium and even coma can occur due to severe water loss in brain tissue.
