Nasopharyngeal mucosal hyperplasia is usually caused by inflammation, neoplastic disease or lymphatic tissue proliferation. 1. Inflammation: bacterial and viral infections will lead to swelling and congestion of nasopharyngeal mucosa, and prolonged acute inflammation will be manifested as nasopharyngeal mucosal hyperplasia. 2. Tumor disease: Nasopharyngeal mucosal hyperplasia may be caused by nasopharyngeal cancer, which usually invades the mucosa of the posterior wall of nasopharyngeal apex and leads to mucosal hyperplasia, and the patients will suffer from symptoms such as bleeding in the nasal cavity and hearing loss. 3. Lymphoid hyperplasia: long-term stimulation by adverse physical and chemical factors or corrosion of gastric contents caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease may cause lymphoid hyperplasia in nasopharynx. It may also be caused by rhinitis, sinusitis, etc. It is recommended that the patient go to the hospital in time for a systematic examination to clarify the specific causes and triggers.
