Poor sleep and red pimples (medically known as acne) can be treated with general treatment, topical medication, oral medication, and physical therapy, depending on the patient’s symptoms. 1. General treatment: Choose water or appropriate cleansing products to remove excess oil, flakes and bacterial mixtures on the skin surface, avoid squeezing and scratching the flakes with your hands, appropriately limit the intake of sugary foods and milk that may trigger or aggravate acne, keep bowel movements smooth, and avoid staying up late at night. 2. Topical medication: If the condition is mild, topical medication can be used. Commonly used drugs include retinoids, such as isotretinoin and third-generation retinoic acid cream; topical benzoyl peroxide to dissolve acne and kill Propionibacterium acnes; and topical antibiotics, such as fusidic acid cream and erythromycin ointment, for anti-infective treatment. 3. Oral drug therapy: for severe cases, oral antibiotic therapy, such as doxycycline, minocycline, etc.; oral isotretinoin to inhibit sebum secretion, but there are teratogenic side effects, pregnant women and women of childbearing age is prohibited; for violent acne, oral glucocorticoid therapy, such as prednisone. 3. Physical therapy: When the above treatment is not effective, physical therapy can be used, such as photodynamic therapy, red light, blue light, intense pulsed light, fractional laser and so on.
