Reasons why azithromycin has side effects on the heart

The main cardiac side effects of azithromycin are arrhythmia and palpitations because azithromycin, as a macrolide antibiotic, can cause ventricular repolarization and prolongation of the QT interval, leading to the development of arrhythmia and tip-twist ventricular tachycardia.
Azithromycin is indicated for the treatment of acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute otitis media, acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, urethritis, pneumonia, cervicitis, and skin infections.
There may be adverse reactions such as palpitations, chest pain, dyspepsia, flatulence, vomiting, black stools, jaundice, candidiasis, vaginitis, nephritis, headache, dizziness and fatigue after taking this product.
It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to azithromycin, erythromycin, other macrolides or ketolactones, and in patients who have a history of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic insufficiency after using azithromycin. If you need to use this drug, please consult a professional doctor, follow the doctor’s instructions and use the drug reasonably.
