In the late stage of dilated cardiomyopathy, there are only symptoms, no “signs”, mainly manifested as paroxysmal dyspnea and sedentary respiration at night in bed and other symptoms of left heart insufficiency, and gradually appeared symptoms of right heart insufficiency, such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension and lower limb edema.
1. The common manifestations of dilated cardiomyopathy in the late stage include coughing up sputum, aggravation of activity, paroxysmal dyspnea and sitting breathing at night when lying down, and other symptoms of left heart insufficiency.
2. With the development of the disease, there may be persistent oliguria and anuria, decreased appetite, abdominal distension, chest tightness, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting, cerebral ischemia and hypoxia and other symptoms, as well as impaired consciousness.
3. Dilated cardiomyopathy can also persist in signs such as enlargement of the turbid border of the heart, hepatosplenomegaly, pleural effusion, accelerated heart rate, cyanosis of the mouth and face, jugular vein angstroms, dry and wet rales in both lungs, pathologic murmurs, and obvious edema of both legs.
4. The treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy is aimed at preventing myocardial damage mediated by the underlying cause, removing heart failure so as not to aggravate the causative factors, preventing the occurrence of various complications such as thromboembolism, controlling cardiac arrhythmias, preventing sudden death, and improving clinical quality of life and prolonging survival.
The specific treatment plan for dilated cardiomyopathy needs to go to a regular hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for better treatment of the disease.
