Functions and Indications of Trimetazidine

The main efficacy of Trimetazidine is anti-angina for the treatment of adult patients with stable angina who are poorly controlled or intolerant to first-line anti-angina therapy. Trimetazidine can relieve the symptoms of myocardial ischemia in the presence of hypoxia or ischemia, and is clinically indicated for coronary insufficiency, angina pectoris, and old myocardial infarction. For patients with severe cardiac insufficiency, trimetazidine can be used in combination with digitalis drugs to treat cardiac insufficiency. Trimetazidine should be discontinued in the presence of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s symptoms, restless leg syndrome, tremor, or unsteady gait, and should also be contraindicated in the presence of severe renal impairment, and is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to Trimetazidine Hydrochloride or any of the excipients. During use, it should be noted that Trimetazidine is not used as symptomatic treatment of angina pectoris attacks, nor is it indicated for the initial treatment of unstable angina pectoris or myocardial infarction. Adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting may occur during the use of the drug. The drug must be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, and should not be used blindly, in order to avoid adverse consequences.
