Can I take off my 6 year old’s astigmatism glasses after correction?

Astigmatism correction for 6-year-old babies usually cannot be removed after wearing astigmatism glasses, and need to be worn until adulthood before surgical treatment is an option.
Children with astigmatism of less than 100 degrees usually have little effect on vision and do not need special treatment, while astigmatism of more than 100 degrees requires refractive correction, and children need to wear eyeglasses to correct their astigmatism in order to maintain a clear state of visual function.
Without eyeglasses, the eyes will not have clear vision both near and far, which will easily cause eye fatigue, eye pain, double vision, headache and other symptoms, and may even result in continued vision loss. If astigmatism continues to progress further examination is required to rule out pathologies such as cone cornea.
Minor patients, visual acuity is not yet stable, usually can only choose to wear glasses to correct. When the child reaches adulthood, corneal laser surgery can be chosen to correct the astigmatism and improve the quality of vision.
