Chinese patent medicines for treating deficiency of qi and yin include Yuquan Pill and Shengqin Tablet, but there is no such thing as the first choice of Chinese patent medicines. Chinese medicine treats diseases based on the principle of symptomatic treatment, and what is symptomatic is the first choice. The composition of Pulse Sheng Tablet is Codonopsis, Fructus Schisandrae chinensis, and Maitong. Its effect is to benefit qi, nourish yin and generate fluid, and can treat qi and yin injuries, manifested as weakness, tiredness, shortness of breath, low voice, sweaty and lazy, dry cough with little sputum, dry mouth and tongue, red tongue with little moss, and so on. Adverse effects and contraindications of Sheng Wei Tablet are not clear. The composition of Yuquan Pill is Pueraria Mirifica, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Rhizoma Pinelliae, Rhizoma Pinelliae, Fructus Schisandrae, Radix Glycyrrhizae. It is effective in nourishing yin and generating fluid, benefiting qi and harmonizing the middle (tonifying qi, harmonizing the spleen and stomach), and can be used to treat yin deficiency of the lungs, stomach and kidneys, and the late stage of febrile diseases. There are occasional adverse reactions such as diarrhea, bloating and loose stools after taking Yuquan Pill, and it is contraindicated for pregnant women. Patients with deficiency of qi and yin are advised to go to the hospital in time for diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of a physician.
