What medication should I take to stop the pain after tooth extraction?

If the pain is unbearable after tooth extraction, it is recommended to give priority to pain relief and analgesic drugs of the 1st stage, such as ibuprofen, loxoprofen sodium, acetaminophen and so on. This class of drugs has relatively good analgesic effect, while the side effects are relatively small. They are the first-line analgesic drugs recommended clinically for mild to moderate pain, and can be used for pain after tooth extraction. However, patients should also be careful to check the level of pain and the trend of pain. If the pain is within 1-2 days after the extraction of a more traumatic tooth, it is indeed physiological and can be considered as pain relief medication. If it is more than 3 days after tooth extraction, the pain is still very intense, and at the same time there are symptoms aggravated with fever and some oral odor, it must be alerted because there is a possibility of infection of the extraction wound. It is necessary to go to a professional stomatology department for local treatment of the extraction wound, together with anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent the spread of infection.
